weirdNano because I felt like it.

so, you think you want to be a blogger?

there's nothing cool about blogging... let me show you why!

first of all, if you start blogging about e-mails you receive... then your friends might spite you.  Other than that, you might have to try to create real content... which also sucks.

Thusly,

inre:  match 3,

  • booyah kanani, jack him in tha' face!
  • you also might appreciate such epic cinema  as this:

Truely... epic cinema:

  • inre match 5,  suggestions per your request...

- when I fought w/ my dad he always told me to use the cat/back stance because of his height advantage.

- forward foot moves in towards opponent, as you increasingly lean back on your rear leg
- slowly creep forward, while leaning backwards bit-by-bit,
- as your body moves forward, your opponent doesn't notice as much of a change, because you're torso is leaning away.
- then lunge forward for strikes

I can imagine this has limited utility in a legit fight... it's a blog, what do you expect.

If that wasn't enough showboating... i don't know what is

I strongly recommend this video... beyond the flashback inducing audio, there is a beautiful, yet indescribably brutality:

  1. Dude, Iron Mike’s speed and power are totally inspirational. I watch that and think, “I bet I could hit harder than I do.”

    • agreed,

in addition to power though, he’s all about jooking fools. e.g. telegraph the hook, connect with the knee… what a painful jooking.

  2. Also, I am fascinated to see cat stance in action. I personally tend to lean into my opponent a little to be ready for tackle/takedown attempts, and to resist getting knocked back by strikes.

I would imagine cat stance is more centered around evasion, maybe?

    • I think cat stance is more about developing strength & balance for back-stance. back-stance is about footwork, most certainly.

Good footwork in back-stance gives you the fast side-to-side action needed for evasion, plus the added disorientation from no head-bob (when properly applied)
