Not-so-intelligent-design… the laryngeal nerve of the giraffe.

As a legacy-design this was a control wire for the gills of ancient fish.  In mammalian species, this nerve has stretched to strange proportions. (p.s. there’s a lot of guts in this video, as it’s a dissection of a giraffe)
